Officials from Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center announced details for the annual Buffalo BrewFest. Now in it’s 10th year, Brewfest is scheduled for Friday, August 5th from 5:30pm – 9:30pm at the HSBC Arena atrium and plaza. Joseph Cozzo, president and CEO for Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center, made the announcement. All proceed from the event go to support the Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center, a not-for-profit organization providing comprehensive diagnostic and treatment programs for children and adults with speech-language and hearing disabilities.
“2010 was a record year for the Buffalo BrewFest.” commented Mr. Cozzo. “The event sold-out and we saw representation from more brewers than ever. For 2011, we are expanding the event footprint taking over parts of Perry Street so this year 5000 people may attend.” 3500 people attended the 2010 BrewFest.
“We have asked our brewers to prepare special beers, brews you cannot get anywhere else, just for our event. This will make this year’s event even better than last year, and we expect it will sell out quickly.” added Cozzo.
This year’s Buffalo BrewFest will feature well over 100 special craft brews from around the world. Brewers will be set up across the two floors of the HSBC Arena atrium and outside in the Arena plaza. Food will be available from a menu specially prepared by Delaware North for the event featuring beer-inspired items.
Only 5000 tickets will be sold for the event due to space limitations. Tickets to the event are $25 pre-sale and $35 day of the event. Admission price includes a souvenir sampling glass and 20 tickets to taste and enjoy craft brews from the more than 100 brewers. Buffalo BrewFest tickets are on sale starting now at all area Consumer’s Beverage locations, our official ticket outlet and at Tickets.com.
Parking at the event is free and attendees must be 21 or older – proper ID is required with ticket for admission.
All proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center Foundation. Consumers Beverages along with Flying Bison, Abbey Mecca & Company, Savarino Companies, as well as, WKBW-TV, NFTA, Lamar Advertising, and WEDG and WGRF provide support for 2011 Buffalo BrewFest.
