The unique universe of sight and sound of Cirque du Soleil’s DELIRIUM returned to HSBC Arena for three shows, Friday, June 15, 2007, Saturday, June 16, 2007, and Sunday, June 17, 2007.
This large-scale event may have been the most massive technical production ever created to tour arenas. The new seating configuration submerged the audience into the huge set. Turning music into motion, DELIRIUM, was a live music event that pushed the limit of arena performance. For the first time, Cirque du Soleil musicians and singers were center-stage as their music was the driving force of this gigantic event. To heighten the musical experience, DELIRIUM was infused with acrobatic dances as well as classic Cirque du Soleil feats including aerial, acrosport and hand balancing acts.
Created and directed by Michel Lemieux and Victor Pilon, DELIRIUM was a multifaceted event of unprecedented proportion featuring Cirque du Soleil music remixed. DELIRIUM, filled with engaging symbolisms of life that were seamlessly entwined within the shows costumes, accessories, and special effects, was a quest for balance in a world that is increasingly out of sync with reality. It pushed the limit of arena performance through technical magnitude, human introspection and creative prowess. Driven by urban tribal beat the awe-inspiring visuals, musicians, singers and dancers transformed the arena into a joyous frenzy.
