The Trans-Siberian Orchestra lit up the stage at HSBC Arena for two shows on Saturday, December 6, 2008.
The Trans-Siberian Orchestra, formed in 1996 by Paul O’Neill, has become one of the most successful annual tours in the country. TSO live entails an orchestral string section, a full rock band, several vocalists, a narrator, a stunning light show and extensive pyrotechnics. TSO’s progressive-rock style takes on Christmas classics such as, “O Holy Night”, “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen”, and “The First Noel”. This unique rock opera style also gives way for TSO to add original flair to traditional pieces like, “A Mad Russian’s Christmas,” which is based on Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker”.
Performing only during the holiday months, The Trans Siberian Orchestra ensures the audience will fully capture the spirit of the season. With a dazzling spectacle of lights, pyrotechnics, lasers and music, TSO is sure to provide a night of magical enchantment.
